Florida State (6-1) at Georgia Tech (6-2)
Saturday, November 1. 3:30 pm

Homecoming was a good time. We had some beers. We had some bar-b-que. And then we went into our stadium and got punched in the mouth by a bunch of social science majors. I don’t know what that means but I did not enjoy it. We had a few costly turnovers in the game against UVA. Kicking off out of bounds is not a good way to start a game either. That was last week. It’s time to move forward.

Florida State comes to Atlanta for the first time since 2002. Georgia Tech hasn’t beaten the Noles since they joined the ACC in 1991. More specifically, our last victory of them was in 1975. Gerald Ford was in office, Fame by David Bowie was #1 and Bobby Bowden was 60 years old.

The Noles have the top ranked offense in the ACC with 36 points per game and 395 yards per game. Their rushing offense is 2nd in the conference behind Georgia Tech and their passing offense ranks 6th. Their total defense is ranked 1st in the conference as well. They just beat Virginia Tech and their only loss this year is to Wake Forest

Line: Tech is favored by 1.5. (FYI – The line opened with FSU favored by 2.)

Prediction: The stadium will be packed and I expect the FSU fans to be loud. The Virginia loss was tough but not absolutely awful. We are about to see what kind of coach we hired. I’m going to place my vote with Paul Johnson and the smart money. Tech in a squeaker.

Tech 28 – FSU 27
